EVALUATION AND CORRELATION ANALYSIS

Evaluation and correlation analysis are the part of Comprehensive SWT-GUARANT service. Completion of these steps will allow designing the SWTorpedo Tool and the stimulation services to be cost-effective.

The necessary steps:

1.  Capacity of the formation rock to dilate

2.  Desired production increase

3.  Probabilities of permeability increase

If the necessary minimum of production increase for stimulation to be cost-effective is  and capacity of the given formation’s rock to dilate is determent then effective radius of the well after stimulation should become such that following equation will be true:

From which:

     and

According to the geometrical similitude theory effective radius of the well must be:  = and = -

Where:
- is targeted or expected well production
- is current well production
- is required increase in output of the well
- is projected effective radius of the well
- is the actual radius of the well
- is influential radius of the well
- is radius of the radial fractures that can be created
in the rock mass
- is the zone of dilatancy, it creates natural extension
of radial fractures ( )
- is proportionality factor
